The competition will be operator focused. All participants must register for A3iR Con 2016. However, there is no additional team fee to enter the competition. Student teams should also begin seeking sponsors and identifying funding sources.
While details are evolving and all parameters are under consideration, the following details have emerged:
- The competition will contain an obstacle course and speed course.
- Aircraft size is limited to a 36" span and 10 lb.
- FPV systems are allowed.
- Each UAV will be required to conduct vertical take-offs and landings.
- Photography (still or video) and side-by-side challenges may also be included.
- Multiple class competitions will be offered (student, faculty/staff, open class...)
